{Pin it Friday} No Flowers

I loved this great wedding that I found on A Paper Proposal blog because the couple saved a lot of money by not using flowers for centerpieces and instead used candles, plus used colorful fabric for napkins. Fabrics with different patterns that are shabby chic or vintage paisley are also great wedding favors! If you missed my previous post on non flower weddings make sure you read that one too!

{Real Wedding} Natalie & Reid

I'm so excited to share with you my FIRST very Eco-friendly and total VEGAN wedding in Beaufort, SC!!! Natalie and Reid came to Beaufort to get married all the way from Seattle, WA since they both used to teach in Beaufort, SC and that is how they met. They wanted a week long celebration for all their family and friends to enjoy the LowCountry so they rented a house on Fripp Island. There was only 30 total guests, but they had such a fun creative wedding. Nicole Rene took these photos since they didn't have a photographer and she did such a GREAT job. I've included a lot of the detail shots plus setting up photos. A big thanks to ThriveCafe Savannah for providing their totally vegan dinner and bringing it all the way to Beaufort!

Ceremony: Fort Fremont - St. Helena Island, South Carolina
Reception Location: Charles Street Gallery Beaufort, South Carolina
Wedding Planners: Layla Mayville of All the Little Details and Nicole Rene of Simply Savannah Events
Officiant: Jennifer Taylor
Informal Photographer: Nicole Rene
Caterer: Thrive Cafe (all vegan!!)
DJ: ipod playlist thru rental companies portable speaker
Rentals: Amazing Event Rentals

The Bride, Natalie walked in to The Cure "Just Like Heaven"

Natalie's long time friends were so nice! They helped set up the garden for the reception, arranged the flowers and did hair & makeup! I drove them from the art gallery reception to the vacation rental on Fripp Island to finish getting ready. To save time they started doing their hair in my car!! Her friends even helped make a vegan cake. Once everyone was ready and Nicole got some great photos we all drove to St. Helena in a choo choo train to the Fort and then back to the art gallery in Beaufort.

It was such a touching moment when the owners of the art gallery gave them a beautiful LowCountry painting!

{Real Wedding} Devon & Rob

Devon and Rob's wedding was such an elegant affair to remember!! Devon contacted me back in January with just about 3 months to plan her intimate destination wedding in Savannah, and we were able to get it done thru many phone calls and emails. Many of her personal details were purchased from small bushiness and thru Etsy.com. Her color scheme was chocolate, champagne and magnolias - didn't everything came together well? Her event was very family focused with a strong importance of including the children who attended. All the kids who came received a FUN bag of toys, coloring books, stickers, glow sticks, and more!! Many wonderful vendors helped make this event gorgeous and here are those who contributed:

Ceremony/Reception Location: Elizabeth on 37th Street
Wedding Planner: Simply Savannah Events/All the Little Details Designs
Photographer: Memories N MoreCake: Two CakesHair & Makeup: Joli A BridesCeremony Music: Chris Dooley Violist & PianistRentals: In Any EventFlorist: Etsy vendor fabric flowers
Centerpieces

Eco-friendly details: supporting etsy and small business owners, ceremony & reception in the same location, organic food menu, no flowers used, and family carpooled to Savannah.

One of the funniest pictures from the night came from their 91 year old Grandmother, boy is she a character!
Also getting all the children who came to the wedding in one picture presented itself with a more difficult task than planned!
The food at Elizabeth's on 37th was divine!
Carrie of Two Cakes has mastered perfectionism and executing fine details for wedding cakes!
