Title: 8th Grade Bold Colorful Animal Paintings
Objective: Students will use the creative process, paint with bold colors using a color scheme, and learn to mix paint. 

Essential Questions:
What is the creative art process?
How do colors effect the mood of the painting?

National Art Standards
Anchor Standard 1: Generate and conceptualize artistic ideas and work.
 8th : Document early stages of the creative process visually and/or verbally in traditional or new media.  

Anchor Standard 2: Organize and develop artistic ideas and work.

8th : Demonstrate willingness to experiment, innovate, and take risks to pursue ideas, forms, and meanings that emerge in the process of art-making or designing.

Anchor Standard 8: Interpret intent and meaning in artistic work. 
 8th : Interpret art by analyzing how the interaction of subject matter, characteristics of form and structure, use of media, art-making approaches, and relevant contextual information contributes to understanding messages or ideas and mood conveyed.
